A beautiful styled photo shoot at Heaton House Farm

By Uncategorized

What happens when some of the wedding industry’s best suppliers in Cheshire get together for a photo shoot at the beautiful Heaton House Farm? They create pure magic!

When it comes to choosing a venue, the incredible award-winning Heaton House Farm is one of our favourites. Therefore, it was without hesitation we decided to hold our photo shoot there. Based on the hillside of a working farm, surrounded by beautiful scenery and incredible views, it really is a venue like no other. What makes it even more impressive is that Heaton House Farm is a family-run venue. Whatever your dream wedding may be, they will accommodate your vision with ease and efficiency. Mick, Margaret and Sarah, and their outstanding team, will ensure that your wedding day is picture-perfect in every single way. Your vision, becomes their vision!

Heaton House farm truly is an incredible venue and we are proud to be one of their recommended suppliers and we have got to know the venue and staff well! Like Heaton House Farm, Butterfly Events is also a family-run business, headed by Marie Gillen, based not far from Heaton House Farm in Pott Shrigley, Cheshire.

On the day of the shoot, we provided two bridal bouquets and styled three rooms. The first room styled was the Oak-beamed barn. The beams in this room are stunning and matched well with our chosen theme. Can you guess what theme we went for? That’s right, a rustic theme. We used champagne ruffle hoods on the chairs, leaves, wooden lanterns and our floral arrangements placed in logs down the aisle. On the ceremony table we created a real rustic wonderland. The end result was breathtaking!

The second room we styled was set up for a wedding breakfast. We wanted to add a little sparkle in this room. Therefore, we used our Rose Gold sequinned table cloths to create the ultimate wow-factor. We then placed our 6ft blossom trees in the centre of the tables and surrounded them with cylinder vases with floating candles. A mixture of moss in-between the vases added extra detail which enhanced the centrepieces. With the flutter of candlelight and the height of the blossom trees, it really did look spectacular and created a warm, romantic atmosphere. It was also uplifting receiving many compliments thoroughout the day from the staff at the venue and the other suppliers involved regarding our setups.

Lastly, we had the pleasure of styling Under the Stars. Wow, what a room! In contrast to the other two rustic setups, we changed our theme in this room. Here we wanted to create an intimate, magical and incredibly romantic atmosphere.  We knew we had to make an impact with the decor to match the sparkle of the stars. We dressed the aisle using our large hydrangea floral arrangements and cylinder vases with floating candles. To make it even more magical, we used our beautiful flower wall as a backdrop and styled the ceremony table with a silver sequinned table cloth, flowers and candles to create a truly romantic feel.

Deciding upon how you want to style your venue can feel daunting at times if you don’t know where to start. Nonetheless, it should be an exciting time. Whilst talking with other suppliers, it was clear we all shared the same mindset. We all strive to ensure that our clients enjoy planning every moment of their wedding day. After all, you only get married once.

An aspect Brides & Grooms have told us they enjoy when planning their wedding, is the cake tasting. The cakes on the day of the shoot were provided by Yvonne’s Cakery based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Yvonne is extremely talented and has many years experience within the wedding industry and will go above and beyond for her clients. Yvonne provided us with two cakes, one being a classic white, tall, very elegant cake that had a traditional feel about it. Yvonne highlighted that the cake also incorporated a modern feel because of the petal tier at the top. We think you will agree, it looks phenomenal and rather tasty!

Yvonne’s second cake was a Peaches and Cream cake. Yvonne explained how she chose this particular cake because she knew the colours would fit in perfectly with the rustic scenery provided by ourselves at Butterfly Events. Without a doubt, we definitely agree with you Yvonne. Great choice!

The dresses on the day were provided by the lovely Emma from Maria Modes Bridal in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Emma has recently moved to larger premises in Macclesfield to accommodate her ever-growing business. Not only does Emma sell wedding dresses, she also offers the most comprehensive collections of men’s formal wear and also has a large range of Bridesmaid dresses.

Emma kindly provided us with four dresses from the Rebecca Ingram Camille collection. Emma told us how the collection features soft, romantic and feminine dresses. On the day, the dresses were modelled by the beautiful Chloe who came within the top ten of Miss Manchester, a massive well done from us Chloe!

The first dress Chloe was fortunate to try on was Juniper. Emma told us how with its Swarovski beaded bodice and flowing chiffon skirt, it really is a spectacular dress.

The second dress was Wynona. Emma told us this unique wedding dress features a tulle ballgown skirt with straps gliding from the illusion plunging neckline to V-back. Chloe modelled this dress beautifully on the  carousel provided by James from Leisure Events.

The third fabulous dress was Tina. Emma described this wedding dress as very form fitting, all overlaced with a V-neck front and an illusioned back.

Emma’s last dress was Connie. Emma explained how this boho wedding dress features a beaded belt accented in Swarovski crystals and a tulle A-line skirt.

With all these divine dresses, came some remarkable hair accessories provided by Heidi from Glorious by Heidi based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Heidi handcrafts all her bridal accessories and chose to supply us with her latest design- the Willow Hair Vine. This was styled into a lovely messy braid by the talented Vicky Adamson from Vicky Adamson Hair & Make- up Artist based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Vicky and Heidi made a wonderful team and collaborated on which hairstyles would work best with each hair accessory. They did a fantastic job and really enhanced Chloe’s hair.

Love Lights The Way provided us with the impressive large LOVE letters that feature in our video, which was created by Jamie from Agnew Productions. Love Lights The Way specialise in classic and rustic light-up letters and are based in Stockport and like Butterfly Events, are a recommended supplier at Heaton House Farm.  Love Lights The Way and Jamie from The Agnew Film Company informed us that customer service and satisfaction is of extreme importance to them. Jamie captured all the suppliers involved in the shoot wonderfully and was very passionate about what he was doing. He worked collaboratively alongside the photographer from the Shoot – Mark from Slice of Pie Photography, a wedding photography company run by Mark and wife, Laura based in Bollington, Cheshire. When speaking with both Jamie and Mark it was clear how they both like to inject fun into what they do and how they feel privileged they get to capture such happy moments and watch couples begin married life together.

We couldn’t agree more. On behalf of everyone involved in the photo shoot, we all truly do appreciate our clients choosing us to be apart of their special day. It isn’t just one day, it’s a lifetime of precious memories that last forever.

Thank you for taking the time to read our Blog. If you have any questions for any of the suppliers mentioned please do get in touch, we will all be more than happy to answer any questions you may have!
